Ingredients
  

  • For the Peanut Butter Layer
  • cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the Chocolate Topping
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup creamy peanut butter
  • Optional Garnish
  • Chopped roasted peanuts
  • Mini chocolate chips
  • Flaky sea salt

Method
 

  1. Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter, melted butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until a thick dough forms.
  3. Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the prepared pan.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter.
  5. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
  6. Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread evenly with a spatula.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped peanuts, mini chocolate chips, or flaky sea salt if desired.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm.
  9. Lift the bars out using the parchment paper and cut into squares before serving.

  • Press the base firmly so the bars hold together well.
  • Let the chocolate cool slightly before slicing.
