Cook the penne according to the package directions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.
Season the chicken with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the chicken for 5 to 7 minutes until golden and fully cooked. Transfer to a plate.
In the same skillet, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds.
Add the sun-dried tomatoes and cook for 1 minute.
Pour in the heavy cream and stir in the Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Return the cooked chicken to the skillet.
Add the cooked penne and toss until everything is coated in the creamy sauce. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to loosen the sauce.
Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
