Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs steak cut into bite-sized cubes
  • 1 lb baby potatoes halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped
  • Aluminum foil sheets

Method

  1. Preheat the grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine steak cubes, potatoes, and sliced onion.
  3. Add olive oil, melted butter, garlic, Italian seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Toss everything well until evenly coated.
  4. Divide the mixture evenly between large foil sheets.
  5. Fold the foil tightly around the steak and potatoes to create sealed packs.
  6. Place the foil packs on the grill or a baking sheet in the oven.
  7. Cook for about 25–30 minutes, carefully flipping halfway through if grilling.
  8. Open the foil carefully once the potatoes are tender and the steak is cooked to your liking.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Cut potatoes into small, even pieces so they cook at the same rate as the steak.
  • Use heavy-duty foil to prevent tearing and leaking.
  • Seal the foil packs tightly to trap steam and flavor inside.
  • Avoid overcooking the steak to keep it tender and juicy.
  • Baby potatoes work best because they cook faster and have great texture.
  • Add extra butter before sealing for richer flavor.
  • Be careful when opening the foil packs because hot steam will escape.
