  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Method

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season both sides of the salmon with Cajun seasoning, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for several minutes until golden and crispy.
  5. Carefully flip the salmon and cook until the fish is nearly cooked through.
  6. Reduce the heat to medium and add butter and garlic to the skillet.
  7. Stir in honey and lemon juice, allowing the sauce to melt and combine.
  8. Spoon the honey butter sauce over the salmon repeatedly as it cooks for another minute or two.
  9. Remove from heat and garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.

Notes

  • Patting the salmon dry helps create a better golden crust.
  • Avoid moving the salmon too early while searing so it develops color properly.
  • Use medium heat when adding honey to prevent burning.
  • Fresh lemon juice balances the sweetness and richness of the sauce.
  • Salmon continues cooking slightly after removal from heat, so avoid overcooking.
  • Cajun seasoning blends vary in saltiness and spice, so adjust carefully.
  • Spoon sauce over the salmon continuously for maximum flavor and moisture.
