Ingredients

  • For the Tacos
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped dill pickles
  • For the Big Mac Sauce
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons sweet pickle relish
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together all the Big Mac sauce ingredients until smooth and creamy. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  2. In another bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Divide the beef mixture into 8 equal portions.
  4. Press each portion into a thin layer directly onto one side of each tortilla.
  5. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  6. Place the tortillas beef-side down onto the hot skillet.
  7. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until the beef develops a browned crust.
  8. Flip the tacos and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
  9. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beef while still hot.
  10. Remove from the skillet and allow the cheese to melt.
  11. Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced onions, chopped pickles, and a generous drizzle of Big Mac sauce.
  12. Fold and serve immediately while warm and crispy.

Notes

  • Pressing the beef thinly onto the tortilla helps create the signature smash burger texture.
  • Cook on a hot skillet to develop a flavorful crust on the beef.
  • Prepare all toppings before cooking since the tacos come together quickly.
  • Serve immediately for the best crispy texture.
