Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta

This Bang Bang Shrimp Pasta is a creamy spicy dish with shrimp and noodles in a rich flavorful sauce perfect for quick dinners.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 –2 tablespoons sriracha adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons green onions chopped

Method
 

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and cook the shrimp until pink and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant.
  5. In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, heavy cream, and honey until smooth.
  6. Pour the sauce into the skillet and cook over medium heat, stirring until warmed and slightly thickened.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until evenly coated in the sauce.
  8. Return the shrimp to the pan and mix everything together.
  9. Garnish with green onions and serve warm.

Notes

Do not overcook shrimp, as they become rubbery quickly.
Use medium heat when cooking the sauce to prevent separation.
Adjust the spice level by increasing or reducing sriracha.
If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of pasta water to loosen it.
Use freshly cooked pasta for best texture and flavor.
Pat shrimp dry before cooking for better searing.
Stir the sauce well to keep it smooth and creamy.
